Yes, you can use music from Jamendo PRO free of charge for educational or non-profit projects, but only if:

The track I want is published under a BY or BY-SA Creative Commons license: why do I need to purchase a Jamendo PRO license in that case?
Creative Commons BY and BY-SA licenses signify that the artists are not opposed to the commercial use of their music. This doesn't mean they don't wish to be paid for it.

A Jamendo PRO license legally guarantees that the commercial use you will make of the music (background music for a public place or multimedia project) will not entail any fees to be paid to performance rights organizations such as ASCAP, BMI, PRS, BUMA or SOCAN.

Simply downloading a track from Jamendo.com doesn't provide a sufficient guarantee that the artist is not a member of one of these organizations.
By purchasing a Jamendo PRO license, you will receive a certificate to present to representatives of these organizations in the event of an inspection. This Jamendo PRO certificate is recognized by these organizations.
My project is non commercial: do I have to purchase a license?
Students/private individuals: our rates adapt to the characteristics of your project and your budget. The rate for the publication of a video on the internet (YouTube, Dailymotion, etc.) starts at €4 (plus tax).
Rate for a documentary video posted online, with a budget under €100, in one episode, length of use: 1 year.
Is all the music on jamendo available for my project?
Only the tracks by artists who chose to take part in our commercial programs are available for commercial use. These tracks constitute the Jamendo PRO catalog.

To access this catalog, simply browse through Jamendo PRO. Once you've filled in your project description (nature, theme, mode of distribution...), the list of available tracks will appear. We recommend you choose a track within this list in order to be able to use the music quickly.
A track I wanted is not available for my project: what do I do?
If you wish to use a track by a Jamendo artist who is not on Jamendo PRO, the artist will be automatically contacted with the specifics of your project.

Of course, the artist is free to accept or refuse the licensing offer.
In the event of a refusal or without a timely answer, we recommend you search another track on Jamendo PRO or contact our Chief of music and his team so that they can suggest the best suited music for you.
I need music regularly: do you have an offer that fits my needs?
If you need music on a regular basis for your multimedia projects, our PREMIUM subscription is for you.
This is a yearly subscription to Jamendo PRO that includes:
  • The immediate and unlimited download of tracks you want to use in your multimedia projects,
  • The right to publish videos using Jamendo PRO tracks withing the Premium license you chose (internet, TV, etc.)

The tracks are available in MP3 (192 kb/s), .wav or FLAC (compressed audio without any quality loss).

What does "global budget of your project" mean?
The global budget of a project comprises all costs related to its production: salaries, equipment rental, editing, technical development, CD or DVD pressing, etc.

The term "global budget" refers only to the part of the project for which the music from Jamendo PRO is intended.

For example, you or your client have a project involving the creation of a website and a video game. You wish to use music exclusively in the video game. In that case, you will only consider the "video game" part of your project to calculate your global budget.
